Meet The Team

Baylor College of Medicine
Rohan Phadke
Hey! My name is Rohan Phadke and I recently graduated from Texas A&M in three years, summa cum laude with a BS in Biochemistry on the full-tuition President’s Endowed and National Merit scholarships. Out of high school, I was admitted into the A&M College of Medicine BS/MD early assurance program; however, I withdrew my medical school seat and just had a successful cycle as a traditional applicant. I will now attend Baylor College of Medicine on their full-tuition Texan Merit Scholarship and pursue an MD/MBA with the Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business.
During my undergraduate years, I helped found a 501(c)3 benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, tutored students as a 520+ MCAT scorer, participated in NYU Grossman’s SURP, and I am currently a full-time researcher at NYU Langone Orthopedics. Overall, I am excited to provide an empowering, school-specific service to future Aggie physicians!

Akhil Marupudi
Howdy! My name is Akhil Marupudi, and I graduated in three years, summa cum laude, from Texas A&M with a BS in Biomedical Sciences. During my time here, I was affiliated with MD Anderson Cancer Center, where I completed the Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) and was recognized for my awards. I was also a TA in both Physics and Biology and worked in Peru via co-founding Texas A&M VAW-Medical, an organization focused on global health outreach and aid. Furthermore, I was an ER scribe & trainer at CHI St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan and College Station for over two years. Additionally, I was named a Phi Kappa Phi Dean’s Excellence Award Winner in the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) and an Science2Med BS/MD candidate with A&M College of Medicine due to my academic pursuits and achievements. I ultimately withdrew my seat and applied traditionally this past cycle while working as a full-time leukemia researcher at MD Anderson.
Soon, I will begin my journey to an MD/MPH at McGovern Medical School/UTSPH and aim to pay forward the mentorship I received here by guiding Aggie pre-meds on their own path to medicine.

Jad Wardeh
My name is Jad Wardeh, and I will be graduating from Texas A&M University with a BS in Biomedical Engineering. During my time as an undergraduate, I worked part-time as a research assistant at Dr. Michelle Hook’s spinal cord injury research lab at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center. Being one of two biomedical engineers at A&M, I earned the Halliburton Engineering Global Programs Scholarship and had the opportunity to work full-time at Dr. Maria Teresa’s clinical research lab at the University of Oviedo, where I contributed to developing a biomedical engineering device that differentiates between ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes in the prehospital setting. I also worked as a nursing assistant in College Station and as a volunteer in medically underserved regions surrounding Cusco, Peru. These experiences allowed me to gain valuable insights into patient-centered, direct care to marginalized communities.
I am honored to have received an acceptance to the MD program at the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine in San Antonio, and I look forward to helping future Aggie doctors navigate their way through the pre-medical curriculum.
